Juniors Deli & Cafe was opened on the 4th of July 2008 by brothers Paul & Barry McNerney. The goal of the restaurant was to provide honest, affordable and creative food at a reasonable price in a fun and relaxed setting, this may seem like a seemingly simple concept but for one reason or another was, and some may argue still is, a rarity in Dublin.
The idea was to be a New York style Deli, serving generous sandwiches salads, soups and specials by day, and an Italian influenced Cafe by night. Over two years since the opening Juniors continues to be a popular destination for locals and visitors alike, so much so, that in July of 2010, Juniors - Paulie's Pizza, was opened to cater to the increasing demand.
Paulie's Pizza aim is to be the first pizzeria in Ireland to create real Neapolitan style pizza. To do this we use only Caputo '00' flour, San Marzano tomatoes, the best mozzarella, slow proved dough and a wood fired oven which cooks at over 450 degrees Celsius- the Vera Pizza Napoletana.
The menu is constantly changing at Juniors Deli & Cafe as well as Paulie's Pizza depending on what is in season, fresh and delicious, so next time you're in Dublin 4 drop in to a Juniors in Beggars Bush and check us out.
